Feast
So, where's everyone thinking of going for the Feast? I was firmly of the belief that I was going to be in Myrtle Beach this year, but the M.R.S. threw me a curve last Saturday night with a Quebec suggestion. I'm looking into passport requirements now - it doesn't appear that we would need one to drive across the border. So - where's everyone going? And does anyone know anything about Quebec?

Passports for driving across the border will not be required until January 1, 2008. That's going to be some drive, but if you have the extra time, it should be a nice trip...wait a minute...3 kids...never mind!
Tman is right about the passports. I've been to Quebec 3 times attending with UCG, twice in the Orford area. It's nice, the people are pleasant. It's a little different though. A lot of small shops and restaurants. Things move a little slower. Of course there is that French-English language thing. You are going to love that drive through Montreal HEH HEH
Hrrrmmm. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it, but that's from a jaded Ontarioan who's been scarred with too many Quebec Feasts. I haven't been to the site they're having it at this year, though.
Texas has great beef bbq. Mmmmm, beef.
Beef is good.
Infinity, what's wrong with Quebec?
Well, traditionally there really hasn't been anything to do (especially for young adults and kids). Also, the weather can be cold and generally icky. I think they got snow a year or two back. And I think one year it rained every single day.
I mean, it's the Feast, so you'll have fun. But if you have the opportunity to go somewhere else (for a potentially cheaper price), I'd highly consider that. I just wouldn't go having high hopes for Quebec.
Quebec can be nice or not so nice. The people are nice. The French thing isn't an issue everyone knows English there. The place it is this year is about an 1hr 1 hr and 1/2 away from MOntreal so if you wanted to go there for the day it's super fun there.
Thanks for the info!
