First Post of the Oh-Nine

Hello world! We're still alive. Nick's stretching out and still only weighs about 3 lbs. soaking wet. Noah, on the other hand, is rock solid and doesn't appear to be getting any taller. Jalen is looking me in the eye now, and is looking like the defensive lineman he is. He was named 2nd team All-Region. I went to his banquet and was watching him when his name was called. He almost fell out of his chair. I didn't know until that moment that he didn't know that he was going to receive that honor. Lil Mama is developing her own personality and is stretching out as well.

As for me, I'm still working as a chemist and I still have a job. Our company did curtail the production workers' hours and pretty much everyone is working 32-36 hours. No one has been laid off though. As for the salaried folks, salaries have been frozen, and promotions are on hold. Of course, we get this memo 2 days before my hire date anniversary, which is when performance evaluations and raises are given. However, I do still have a job.

The M.R.S. has been working for a few weeks in an allergy practice about 5 minutes from my job. The handwriting is pretty much on the wall now; with both of us making this 45-50 minute commute, a move is probably coming up pretty soon. We'll keep you posted. Oh well, my parents and brother's family are in town for the weekend. The kids have run and played quite vigorously, so there should be some deep, coma-like sleep in the Palmer house tonight. I'll probably be up late reading; I started The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel and I'm also re-reading The US & Britain in Prophecy by HWA.
